- Science Cell : It includes District Science Supervisor (DSS) & DSS team members i.e. subject experts. The DSS team is of three subject experts. The Science Cell takes care of activities related to science & school inspection.
- School inspection: It is of three types.
1. Regular Inspection (Annual Inspection)- It preplanned. The department has felt that annual inspection has better
impact on school improvement. The schedule for Annual inspection is available on www.deosebnl.com
2. Surprise Inspections- These are not preplanned.
3. Special Checking - It is conducted as per the guidelines of Directorate.
- Other Functions : Apart from inspection Science cell plans coaching for NTSE, NMMS & PSTSE. It also conducts competition exams for NTSE, NMMS & PSTSE. It also implement the programes of State Institute of Science Education Punjab Chandigarh. Inspire Award , Scince Exhibition, Role Play Competition, Student Science Seminar, Children Science Congress, Environmental Awarness (NGC) & AEP are its activities which act as great tools in all round development of students.
